The chicken run / orchard

Bridget has a pretty smart solution to her orchard. She has her chickens in it, and they go perfect together.

This is where it happens! Chickens manuring the fruit trees, and enjoying life - lots of space.

After the winter, it´s a good idea to care a little extra for the fruit trees. Bridget made a mix of sulphur and chalk powder, boiled with water. Sulphur kills parasites, and chalk is desinfective and fights bacterias, virus and fungus. It is a biodynamic recipe, harmless, you can use it all year around. Spray the trees, and paint the trunks. Stinks like rotten eggs…

Here comes the recipe in beautifully handwritten italian.. use google translate..

And spray!
